AGC sought out Formcraft’s expertise in integrated design and construction to complete a full renovation of their North American Headquarters located in Exton, PA. It was crucial to AGC that their new space be on par with other North American company’s headquarters. A major design goal of theirs was to have a relevant space where natural light, transparency, and branding would play a fundamental role in elevating the function and aesthetic of the office.

There was mindset change cultivated since many private offices were converted to multi-functional spaces that would serve a dual purpose as both an office and meeting space. Many of AGC’s management moved from a private office to a workstation out in the open office. The increased daylighting, clear sightlines and open flow implemented throughout the office helped to achieve ease in the shift from the existing layout to the new layout. Formcraft harnessed the challenge of creating a cohesive office space that promoted growth as an opportunity to integrate AGC branding throughout the space. There is a large custom graphic wall in the reception along with displays of products manufactured by the company. The Formcraft team also worked through building challenges like low ceiling heights and a lack of proper climate control in the perimeter offices.

After opening up the office, it was important to incorporate many different collaboration, meetings, and privacy areas. AGC’s office showcases energizing and casual meeting spaces and phone booths where employees can opt for more privacy when needed. There is a unique spot in the office that is great for collaborating and was designed with the intent to bring the outdoors in using natural textures and colors. A well-designed training space, as well as conference rooms, were vital components of the program. Formcraft was able to perform in all aspects of offered services from workplace strategy to design, construction management, and furniture procurement. Both parties are very proud and happy with the end result. AGC Chemicals’ goals were achieved and they now have an exceptional and refined office.
